Roundwood buyer (m/f/d)

As FINKBEINER Holzindustrie KG and FINKBEINER Logistik & Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH, we are the fifth generation to combine a sawmill and planing mill, log logistics and an independent commercial vehicle workshop in Triberg. With around 100 employees, we combine tradition with the latest technology and offer real entrepreneurial freedom.

To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a roundwood buyer for our roundwood logistics (m/f/d) – full-time, permanent.

Responsibilities

• You independently acquire log suppliers, initiate new supply relationships and develop growth potential.
• You negotiate supply contracts with a strategic feel for general conditions, quality and costs.
• You control the wood acceptance, scheduling and logistics - as a central success factor for our round wood supply.
• You ensure delivery standards and quality assurance and oversee the entire processing chain up to delivery to the sawmill.

Profile

• Completed training or studies in the wood industry, forestry, business administration or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in wood purchasing, market analysis or in the supply chain is an advantage, alternatively a strong sales or purchasing affinity.
• Confident use of MS Office, coupled with negotiation skills, assertiveness and an independent, reliable way of working.
• Driving license class B.
